• Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned.
• Student teaching, approved internship, or related work experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans that fulfill the district curriculum and reflect accommodations for individual differences.
• Plan and use strategies, activities, and materials aligned with TEA guidelines and district policies.
• Assess student learning styles and use results to plan instruction.
• Collaborate with special education teachers to modify curricula per IEPs.
• Plan and assign work to instructional aides and volunteers.
