Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from accredited university.
• Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or related training and work experience for certification waivers under the District of Innovation Plan (DOI).
• Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned.
• Special Knowledge/Skills include knowledge of core academic subject, curriculum and instruction, ability to instruct students and manage behavior, and strong organizational/interpersonal skills.
• AED/CPR certification for Physical Education teachers (AED)

Responsabilités

• Develop and implement lesson plans that fulfill district curriculum requirements and reflect accommodations for differences among students.
• Plan and use instructional strategies/materials/equipment for varied learning styles.
• Assess student learning and use results to plan activities.
• Collaborate with special education teachers to modify curricula per IEPs.
• Plan and assign work to instructional aides and volunteers.
• Conduct ongoing assessment of student achievement and participate in extracurricular activities as assigned.
• Maintain a positive role model and support district mission.
• Create a classroom environment conducive to learning and manage student behavior.
• Establish professional communication with parents, students, colleagues, and community.
• Participate in staff development and comply with policies; attend faculty meetings.
