Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from accredited university.
• EC-6 Generalist with Bilingual Supplemental or EC-6Bilingual Generalist Certification or EC-6 Core Subject with Bilingual Supplemental.
• Valid Texas teaching certificate with endorsements or training for certification waivers under the DOI plan.
• Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans reflecting district curriculum and accommodations for diverse learners.
• Use evidence-based instructional strategies and materials aligning with TEA policies.
• Assess student learning styles and adapt instruction accordingly.
• Collaborate with special education staff to modify curricula per IEPs.
• Establish goals with staff and manage assignments for aides and volunteers.
• Conduct ongoing assessments and monitor student growth; support extracurricular activities as needed.
• Maintain a safe, organized classroom and uphold student conduct per policy.
• Communicate professionally with parents, students, and colleagues.
• Engage in professional development and comply with district regulations.
