Job summary

Mentor South Bay in Massachusetts is expanding to Leominster, MA, inviting you to join a mission-driven team delivering in-home Early Intervention services for infants and toddlers with developmental delays, including autism supports. This role emphasizes collaboration with families and a multidisciplinary team to foster learning in natural contexts.

The ideal candidate speaks fluent Spanish, Portuguese, or Haitian Creole and can travel for in-home visits.

Qualifications

• Experience planning and delivering in-home early intervention services for infants/toddlers.
• Ability to document assessments and updates accurately to meet timelines.
• Design and adapt activities for language, cognitive, motor, sensory, self-help, and social development.
• Model positive adult-child interactions and provide coaching to families.
• Monitor progress and communicate with families and team.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule and provide weekly in-home services for a caseload of infants/toddlers.
• Administer and document program assessments and updates on time.
• Design and implement development activities tailored to each child.
• Model interactions and provide parent education with weekly activities.

Bilingual Early Intervention Specialist

Raising a child with a developmental disability is a journey that takes knowledge, love, patience, and support. You will be part of a team that provides in-home early intervention specialized services for infants and toddlers where they can naturally learn and develop.

• Plan, schedule and provide weekly early educational in-home services for a caseload of infant/toddlers with disabilities including developmental delays and programs for children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders.
• Administer and document all program assessments and updates accurately to meet timelines.
• Design, implement, and adapt activities for language, cognitive, fine and gross motor, sensory, self-help, and social/emotional development, for each individual child, utilizing best practices.
• Model effective adult-child interactions and provide written information on parenting, child development, and provide parents with written weekly activities and effective coaching.
• Monitor, document, and share the child’s progress with the family and team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master's Degree in Early Intervention, Early Childhood, Special Education, Child Development, Child Studies, Psychology, or Social Work.
• Must have experience with children under 5.
• Must speak fluent Spanish, Portuguese, or Haitian Creole
• Valid driver’s license in good standing and access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
• Effective communication skills to manage relationships
