Southern Oregon Head Start is seeking an Early Head Start Teacher in Medford to provide high-quality child education in duration services, supporting growth and development, curriculum fidelity, and family engagement.

The role requires coordinating with Family Advocates, meeting Head Start standards, and participating in ongoing professional development. Employment entails working in a center environment with opportunities for bilingual compensation based on qualifications and screening.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; and CDA credential required OR Step 8 in Oregon Registry Pathways.
• Experience: Minimum of one year in an early childhood setting or related experience preferred.
• Certifications: CPR/First Aid and Food Handler Certification required (may be obtained after hire).
• Oregon Registry enrollment required; Interrater reliability for TS Gold may be required.

Responsibilities

• Follow all education policies and implement curriculum with fidelity.
• Supervise children at all times.
• Provide developmental screenings and assist families with referrals.
• Document observations and conduct child assessments.
• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate curricula.
