Job summary

Committee for Hispanic Children and Families (CHCF) seeks an Early Education Specialist to support home-based childcare providers in Queens County. The role involves coaching, training, and coordinating quality improvement within ECEI, reporting to the ECEI Director.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, full fluency in English and Spanish, and credentials like Aspire or T-TAP within specified timelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education, psychology or related field.
• Full professional fluency in English and Spanish.
• Aspire credentialing within 6 months of hire.
• T-TAP credentialing within two years of hire.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of FCC providers and provide training and technical assistance to home-based childcare providers in Queens County.
• Build relationships with providers using positive interpersonal skills and cultural competence.
• Develop individualized coaching plans based on assessments and provider needs.
• Coordinate site visits, follow-up, and progress documentation for quality improvement.
• Facilitate group trainings and participate in agency events and collaboration.
