Centro de la Familia is seeking a Teacher Assistant for a 9-month position guided by the Lead Teacher and Education Specialist. You will administer an early childhood program, support infants and toddlers, and collaborate with families to include them in planning and execution of education.

You will assist with meals and supervise children, while fostering development, language learning, and cultural sensitivity. A CDA or plan to earn it within six months is required, along with CPR/First Aid.

Qualifications

• Preschool CDA (or plan to earn within six months)
• CPR, First Aid, and Food Handler’s permits are required
• Willingness to work with children with special needs and limited English skills
• Preferred bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English

Responsabilités

• Administer an early childhood education program that is developmentally, linguistically, and culturally appropriate
• Meet needs of infants and toddlers and partner with families
• Collaborate with staff, parents, and volunteers; assist with meals and snacks
• Assume teacher duties in the lead teacher's absence
• Support classroom supervision and learning activities indoors and outdoors
• Plan daily activities aligned with Head Start Standards and service plan
• Promote play, exploration, and physical development
• Observe and assess progress to tailor individualized learning
