Centro de la Familia seeks a Teacher Assistant to support infants and toddlers with a developmentally appropriate program aligned to Head Start standards. You will work under the Lead Teacher and Education Specialist, assisting with planning, meals, and family involvement in a bilingual, culturally sensitive setting.

You will help manage the classroom, support individualized learning, and promote health, safety, and positive behavior as part of a nine‑month program starting February 2027.

Qualifications

• The ideal candidate holds a Preschool CDA or plans to earn one within six months.
• An associate or bachelor’s degree in early childhood education/child development or related field within two years.
• Current CPR, First Aid, and Food Handler’s permits.
• Willingness to work with children with special needs and limited English skills.
• Preferred bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English.

Responsabilités

• Administer a developmentally, linguistically, and culturally appropriate early childhood education program.
• Meet the individual and holistic needs of infants and toddlers.
• Collaborate with parents and families and include them in planning and execution of education.
• Support meals and snacks for children and assist in Teacher duties as needed.
• Assist in classroom management and supervise children during indoor/outdoor activities.
• Help with daily planning to promote growth per Head Start Performance Standards.
