Job summary

Sojourner House in Providence, RI seeks a Bilingual (Spanish) Domestic Violence CARE Advocate to coordinate entry and engagement services for survivors. You will collaborate with RI Coalition to End Homelessness to connect clients with housing and supports, delivering direct services that stabilize lives and enable independent housing opportunities.

You will work closely with community partners, participate in housing clinics, and complete grant-related reporting while traveling to multiple

Qualifications

• Two to three years of experience in human or social services.
• Fluency in Spanish (written and oral) required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the Domestic Violence Coordinated Entry System list with the CARE Manager.
• Attend CES program meetings and participate in case conferencing and housing matching.
• Take intakes, provide referrals, and guide potential housing and shelter clients.
• Conduct housing and crisis assessments aligned with HUD homelessness criteria.
• Support clients in housing plans to achieve sustainable placements and benefits.
• Facilitate housing clinics and assist with grant reporting and compliance.
• Build relationships with housing and social service agencies statewide.
• Travel between agency locations as needed and supervise volunteers when required.
