Job summary

CLUES is seeking a Victim Advocate to provide bilingual English-Spanish advocacy for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. You will assess needs, plan safety steps, and coordinate with community resources to connect clients with shelter, counseling, and legal support.

The role requires crisis intervention experience, strong documentation skills, and the ability to work a schedule including some evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology or related field required.
• Experience providing crisis intervention and survivor legal advocacy preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish & English with cultural sensitivity and awareness required.

Responsibilities

• Provide domestic violence and sexual assault advocacy at the individual and system level in English and Spanish.
• Conduct safety planning, assessment of immediate needs and assist survivors with determining next steps to ensure safety.
• Accompany survivors to court, legal, medical when appropriate.
• Provide survivors with support, referrals, linkages, and information related to community resources and rights.
• Recruit participants for and facilitate support groups for survivors of sexual assault and/or domestic violence.
• Provide crisis intervention 24/7 for survivors of sexual assault and answer hotline on on-call rotation.
