Job summary

Sojourner House is seeking a Legal Program Coordinator to support the development and management of a statewide legal program for victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, dating violence, and stalking. Based in Providence, RI, the role collaborates with a Staff Attorney on family law matters and community outreach.

Responsibilities include intake management, document coordination, and client support services, with a focus on efficiency, data reporting, and cross-department teamwork.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of experience in family law or related legal services.
• Bilingual English/Spanish communication required for client interactions.
• Strong organizational and detail orientation for case management.
• Experience supporting legal staff with filings and research is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide general project management for the legal program.
• Manage intakes and scheduling for consultations.
• Coordinate communication and document gathering for intakes/consults.
• Organize client files (physical and electronic).
• Assist Staff Attorney with file prep, drafting, research, and casework.
• Maintain calendar reminders for hearings and client communications.
• Support clients with safety planning and referrals to resources.
• Contribute to grant reporting and program evaluation.
