Job summary

CSL Vifor in Chicago, IL is seeking a donorpheresis technician to support pheresis procedures. You will prepare the donor, donor area and equipment, monitor the process, respond to alarms and ensure safety and accuracy throughout the procedure.

Experience in medical settings preferred; a high school diploma is required, with at least three months’ related work. The role emphasizes documentation, data entry, and adherence to SOPs, HSE/OSHA policies and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform basic math calculations.
• Minimum of three (3) months’ work experience, preferably in a medical or health provider environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the donor, donor area and equipment for the pheresis process.
• Prepare the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
• Monitor the donor and the pheresis process, respond to alarms or signals during the process.
• Disconnect the donor when the process is complete.
• Maintain awareness of donor reactions during or after pheresis and notify staff as needed.
• Record incidents and equipment/donor data in the PDA and connect equipment to donors.
• Ensure accurate recording of donor data in the electronic system per SOPs.
