Job summary

Ocean State Behavioral LLC is seeking a Direct Support Professional (HBTS) for a 16-hour-per-week, part-time role in Pawtucket, RI. The position serves a 9-year-old male client, with work in home and community settings, Monday–Thursday evenings.

Bilingual Spanish skills are preferred to support family communication. You will implement the family-created service plan, provide guidance, and maintain detailed notes to track goals and progress.

Qualifications

• At least 19 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Meets transportation requirements: valid vehicle insurance, registration, and inspection.
• DCYF CANTS clearance check allowed by agency.
• Original BCI from Rhode Island Attorney General's office.
• Minimum of two years of supervised experience with children with special health care needs.
• Currently enrolled in not less than six semester hours of relevant undergraduate coursework.
• 2–3 years' experience with adults with developmental disabilities.
• Associate degree in human services qualifies.

Responsibilities

• Implement a service plan developed by the child's family and the agency.
• Provide guidance and redirection for the individual with special needs.
• Write organized and in-depth daily contact notes and track service plan goals.
• Provide feedback to the agency on service plan goals.

Enrolled in relevant undergraduate coursework
