Job summary

Ocean State Behavioral is seeking a Direct Support Professional (HBTS) for part-time evening shifts in the Providence area. The role involves visiting clients at home three to five days per week, 3–4 hour blocks, and supporting youth with behavioral plans.

Applicants should be at least 19 years old, calm and patient, with supervised experience with disabilities or relevant coursework, plus a valid driver’s license and vehicle.

Qualifications

• Ages 19+ required.
• Calm, consistent and patient personality.
• Experience supervising with children or adults with developmental disabilities OR relevant bachelor’s coursework.
• Valid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle.
• Background check and DCYF clearance consent required.

Responsibilities

• Visit client in-home three to five days during weekday evenings for 3–4 hour shifts.
• Occasional 3–4 hour shifts on Saturday or Sunday mornings/afternoons.
• Coach family members to reinforce clinical strategies.
• Document behavioral data, shift notes and observations.
• Collaborate with client’s clinical support team.
