Job summary

Ocean State Behavioral is seeking a Direct Support Professional (HBTS) for part-time evening shifts, 10-20 hours per week, at $27.50 per hour. The role involves visiting clients at home in Warwick, RI, and sometimes Central Falls, with schedules Mon/Tue evenings and Saturdays.

You will support youths in following behavioral plans and coach families, reporting data and coordinating with the clinical team. Applicants must be at least 19, with a calm, patient demeanor, and have supervised

Qualifications

• Calm, patient demeanor.
• Supervised experience with children or adults with developmental disabilities OR coursework in a relevant bachelor’s program.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to use personal vehicle for client visits.

Responsibilities

• Visit a client’s home 3–5 days on weekday evenings for 3–4 hour shifts.
• Occasional Saturday/Sunday shifts as needed.
• Assist client to follow a behavioral support plan developed by the clinical team.
• Coach family members to reinforce clinical strategies.
• Document behavioral data, shift notes, and observations.
• Collaborate with client’s clinical support team.

Description

Location: Central Falls

Available Schedules: ( Mondays and Tuesdays from 3 to 7 p.m . & Saturdays from 10 to 2 )

What You’ll Be Doing:

Visiting a client’s home three to five days a weekday evenings for a 3-4 hour shift.

Some cases may require a 3-4 hour shift on Saturday or Sunday morning/afternoon

Helping a young person to follow a specialized behavioral support plan developed by their clinical team

Coaching family members and caretakers to reinforce clinical strategies consistently

Documenting behavioral data, shift notes, and client observations

Collaborating with client’s clinical support team

Who We’re Looking For:

Someone at least 19 years old

With a calm, consistent, and patient personality

Who has supervised experience working with children or adults with developmental disabilities OR sufficient course experience in a relevant bachelor’s program

With a valid driver’s license, and legal personal vehicle

Candidate must provide a clean background check and permit the agency to run a DCYF clearance check with the state.
