Job summary

County of Riverside is seeking a Spanish bilingual Dental Assistant to join Riverside University Health System - Community Health Clinics. The role requires chairside support, digital x-ray processing, instrument preparation, and patient handling across multiple clinics with travel to sister sites in Riverside County.

The position includes duties such as record-keeping, scheduling, sterilization, and contributing to postoperative care, with a workweek Monday–Friday and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Possession of a valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate from a provider approved by the American Heart Association.
• Possession of a valid Radiation Safety certificate issued by the California State Board of Dental Examiners.
• Completion of a California Dental Board approved course in the California Dental Practice Act.
• Completion of a California Dental Board approved infection control course.
• Possession of a valid California Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Provide chairside assistance to dentists and oral surgeons; prepare instruments and patients for examinations and treatments.
• Take and process digital dental x-rays.
• Review and maintain patient records and schedule appointments in the PMIS.
• Sterilize instruments and assist with postoperative cleanup.
• Assist with appointment reminder calls and scheduling.
