Job summary

The University of Minnesota in the Twin Cities is seeking a part-time data collection assistant for the NET-Works study. You will collect data in participants' homes, conduct surveys in English and Spanish, and manage data entry in REDCap.

You must be fluent in English and Spanish, have a BA/BS with relevant experience, a personal vehicle, and be available evenings, days, and weekends. This civil service role offers opportunities to contribute to child health research.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS with at least two years of experience or a combination of related education and work experience equal to six years.
  • Fluency in oral and written English and Spanish.
  • Has personal vehicle for reliable transportation for commuting to home visits.
  • Flexibility in scheduling (evenings, days and weekends).
  • Ability to work on a team to complete data collection visits with research participants.
  • Data collection experience as part of a research study.
  • Experience with public health research.

Responsibilities

  • Data collection (85%): collect data with participants in homes, explain study in English/Spanish, collect surveys and measurements.
  • Data entry and management (10%): clean, edit, and enter parent survey data in REDCap and ensure data quality.
  • Project Management (5%): help develop or revise data collection protocols and track incentives in REDCap.
  • Other duties: support IRB trainings, meetings, dissemination activities as needed.
