Customer Service Specialists

Customer Service Specialists work closely with wholesale and retail customers to determine their needs, answer questions about Sherwin-Williams products, and recommend suitable solutions. They are expected to promptly resolve customer concerns, ensure maximum client satisfaction, stay updated with product features, and maintain high standards of product quality and store presentation. The role involves achieving excellent customer service while meeting sales goals.

The selected individual will work at Store #3302 located at 11194 Veirs Mill Road, Wheaton, MD 20902, and Store #5292 at 9104 Baltimore Ave, College Park, MD 20740, with potential to work at surrounding stores within a 10-mile radius in Montgomery County, MD.

Job Duties

• Ensure high customer satisfaction through excellent sales service
• Assist customers in person and over the phone by determining needs and presenting products/services
• Build trust relationships with customers
• Process sales transactions accurately
• Achieve sales goals regularly
• Maintain work order files and formulas
• Pull products from sales floor or warehouse
• Tint and mix products as per customer specifications
• Stock shelves and set up displays
• Clean equipment
• Load/unload delivery trucks and assist with deliveries
• Maintain inventory and store presentation
• Stay knowledgeable about products and discuss options
• Follow inventory control procedures
• Suggest sales improvements

Minimum Requirements

• At least 18 years old
• Legally authorized to work without sponsorship
• Proficient in English and Spanish
• Valid, unrestricted Driver's License
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and 70 lbs occasionally
• Willing to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends

Preferred Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED
• One year of delivery, retail, or customer service experience
• Experience selling paint and related products
• Experience operating tinting and mixing equipment
