Job description

Customer Service Specialists work closely with wholesale and retail customers to determine their needs, answer questions about Sherwin-Williams products, and recommend appropriate solutions. Store associates are also expected to resolve customer concerns promptly, ensure maximum client satisfaction, stay up-to-date with product features, and maintain high quality and visual standards of the products and store.

Customer Service Specialists are tasked with achieving excellent customer service while consistently meeting the store’s sales goals. The selected individual will work at Store #723924, located at 1201 Franklin St NE, Washington, DC 20017-2404, and may also work at surrounding stores within a 5-mile radius.

Job duties involve contact with customers, including minors, and access to cash, electronic equipment, personal information, store merchandise, and other valuables. Access may be supervised or unsupervised. The company conducts a criminal history review to protect its operations, reputation, and the safety of customers, staff, and vendors.

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Legally authorized to work without sponsorship
  • Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in English and Spanish
  • Valid, unrestricted Driver’s License
  • Ability to retrieve materials from shelves and lift up to 50 lbs frequently, 70 lbs on occasion
  • Willingness to work all scheduled hours, including evenings and weekends
Preferred Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or GED
  • At least one year of experience in delivery, retail, or customer service
  • Experience selling paint and related products
  • Experience operating tinting and mixing equipment
Responsibilities

  • Build trust relationships with customers
  • Process sales transactions accurately
  • Meet sales goals monthly, quarterly, and annually
  • Maintain work order files and formulas
  • Retrieve products from sales floor or warehouse
  • Mix products to customer specifications
  • Stock shelves and set up displays
  • Clean store equipment
  • Load/unload delivery trucks and assist with deliveries
  • Maintain cleanliness and stock levels in assigned areas
  • Stay knowledgeable about products and discuss options with customers
  • Follow inventory procedures
  • Suggest sales improvements
