Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking a Janitorial Account Manager in Los Angeles to lead client facilities' custodial services. You will direct the janitorial team, ensure service standards, and act as the primary customer contact, driving operational excellence and safe, efficient environments.

The role requires strong communication, a history of managing large teams, and hands-on leadership. Expect varied shifts and responsibility for budgets, contracts, and daily performance metrics.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English and Spanish.
• 5+ years of janitorial management or commercial cleaning leadership.
• Direct experience managing teams of 20+ employees.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, staff and management.
• Working knowledge of labor and material estimating, task planning and workflow organization.
• Ability to interpret and work from blueprints and shop drawings.
• Knowledge and application of safe cleaning practices, chemical use, and equipment operation.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all custodial staff and cleaning operations across client properties, ensuring work meets Cushman & Wakefield quality standards.
• Lead, motivate, and mentor the janitorial team; provide performance feedback and development recommendations.
• Train staff on cleaning procedures, equipment, safety practices, and customer service expectations.
• Oversee staffing coverage, shift planning, timecard processing, and administrative reporting.
• Respond promptly to customer concerns and service requests; ensure timely resolution.
• Support monthly close by preparing journal entries, reviewing general ledger reports, and coordinating finance review meetings.
• Solicit service contracts and SLAs; manage POs; process and bill work orders using internal systems.
• Perform cleaning duties as needed and manage inventory of supplies and equipment.
• Identify safety hazards and facility issues; report to appropriate teams.
• Collaborate with internal partners to maintain strong customer relationships.
