Qualifications

• Bilingual in English and Spanish required.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Degree completed and not in progress.
• Education per ORS 419B.021 for child protective investigations and custody determinations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct child safety assessments and interviews.
• Engage with families, resource parents and caregivers to promote safety and permanency.
• Develop and implement strategies leveraging family strengths.
• Analyze information to determine safety and needs for services.
• Prepare reports, case notes and testify in court as needed.
• Communicate effectively with diverse populations in various settings.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or related field

Bachelor’s degree unrelated to Human Services with related experience or certification

Associate degree + related experience or Oregon Caseworker Competency training
