Job summary

Kodiak Roofing & Waterproofing is seeking an experienced, hands-on Safety Coordinator to support our Safety Department and field operations. This role collaborates with the Safety Manager, field leadership, and crews to promote a strong safety culture, identify hazards, and ensure regulatory compliance so workers return home safely.

The ideal candidate is proactive, in the field, and bilingual in English and Spanish, with CHST certification and solid training experience across construction sites.

Qualifications

• Current CHST certification is required.
• Bilingual English/Spanish with strong training skills.
• Construction safety experience or equivalent training.
• Working knowledge of OSHA construction regulations.
• Ability to travel to active jobsites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Conduct and document safety inspections and audits at worksites.
• Identify unsafe conditions and coordinate corrective actions with field leadership.
• Monitor OSHA compliance and company safety policies.
• Conduct jobsite safety trainings in English and Spanish.
• Provide field coaching to Foremen, Superintendents, and operations leaders.
• Coordinate incident investigations and follow-up actions.
• Maintain training records and certifications.
• Stay current on safety regulations and best practices.
