Job summary

Cherry Coatings seeks a Senior Safety Coordinator to lead project safety programs on active sites. You will attend kickoff meetings, conduct pre-planning safety sessions, and run weekly safety meetings with subcontractors to uphold regulatory compliance and company standards.

The role requires bilingual Spanish/English capabilities, OSHA guidance familiarity, and a proactive approach to improving safety performance across projects.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years of relevant construction safety experience.
• Bilingual Spanish / English is required
• First Aid/CPR/AED Training
• OSHA 500 and ABCSP certification highly preferred
• Experience using Excel, Procore or comparable construction technologies is a plus

Responsibilities

• Attend all initial meetings with project staff and General Contractor representatives to define role within the Project Safety Program.
• Conduct and document pre-planning safety meetings with subcontractor safety representatives and/or foremen to establish safety procedures prior to subcontractor activity on site.
• Establish and conduct regular weekly safety meetings with subcontractor representatives.
• Review subcontractor safety training documentation and verify compliance with company standards.
• Develop and implement safety orientation programs for new employees and trade partners.
• Prepare inspection reports and provide corrective action recommendations.
• Organize and maintain safety documentation including incident reports, inspection records, and training records.
• Investigate incidents to determine root causes and contributing factors.
• Assist in enforcing Cherry’s Drug and Alcohol Policy and site testing.
