Job summary

Southeast CDC seeks a Community School Coordinator to develop and manage services for children and families, strengthening school attendance, enrichment and health supports. You will collaborate with school staff and community partners to implement an effective plan aligned with district goals.

On-site role with regular professional development; the coordinator leads outreach, programs, and data collection while coordinating with the school Principal and Southeast CDC leadership.

Qualifications

• Bilingual in English and Spanish; fluency may be assessed.
• Excellent interpersonal and written/spoken communication skills.
• Highly organized; ability to manage multiple priorities and data.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion.

Responsibilities

• Develop partnerships with school staff, families, and community partners.
• Schedule, grow, manage and publicize programs and volunteer activities at the school.
• Conduct daily outreach to families to promote attendance.
• Grow parent engagement through events and family communications.
• Participate in School Family Council and related teams.
• Refer families to Southeast CDC’s case management and other services.
• Identify needs and coordinate resources within the school community.
• Coordinate logistics for programs such as vision and dental screenings.
• Assist supervisor in fundraising and grant-related tasks.
• Support upkeep of gardens and playgrounds; coordinate volunteers.
