Job summary

The Children’s Home Society in Brick Township, NJ is seeking a Bilingual Program Assistant 1/Community Partner to join our Anchor Family Success Center. This full-time role focuses on community outreach, volunteer development, and partnership building to support children, youth, and families.

Qualifications

• Associate degree and/or 60 semester hours from an accredited institution and a valid New Jersey driver's license.
• Experience in recruiting, training and coordinating volunteers for community-based organizations preferred.
• Experience with marketing, fundraising, program planning, data entry and community outreach.

Responsibilities

• Work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends as needed.
• Attend community fairs, meetings, and conferences for outreach and recruitment.
• Assist as needed within the agency to support center activities.
• Assist with the development of marketing materials (flyers, newsletters, Constant Contact) to promote center activities.
• Help develop services and approaches to address challenges of families in the community.
• Empower and support volunteers to grow and develop.
• Identify strengths and gaps in the community in collaboration with partners and parent leaders.
• Implement activities with community partners and leaders.
• Incorporate Family Support and Protective Factors into work.
• Facilitate groups and support center activities; supervise interns as needed.
• Plan annual events honoring community representatives and volunteers.
• Engage parents, educators, and community leaders as volunteers at the Family Success Center.
• Promote and design activities that enrich cultural diversity at the center.
• Provide direction to volunteers and coordinate for all volunteer functions.
• Review and implement methods to attract and retain volunteers with supervision.
