Job summary

Verda Health Plan of Texas is seeking an Event Coordinator to join our Dallas-area offices. The role focuses on delivering excellent customer service to seniors, coordinating health events, and providing in-language support for benefits and Medicare options.

You will work closely with Marketing to promote programs, maintain inventory and spaces, and collaborate with Community Engagement and Sales teams to drive value for the center and its members.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or Communications, or equivalent experience.
• 1–2 years hands-on experience with event or activity planning & coordination.
• Minimum 1 year of customer service experience.
• Bilingual in English and another language preferred (Chinese, Vietnamese or Spanish).
• Experience with ethnically diverse populations and health-related or nonprofit environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service at the Community Center or office.
• Provide in-language support for members regarding benefits and care access.
• Act as a Medicare Advisor with in-language support for questions about Medicare options.
• Schedule and coordinate health events at community centers; handle logistics and planning.
• Communicate and coordinate building repairs with Facilities Manager/Department.
