Job summary

Verda Health Plan of Arizona is seeking an Event Coordinator to support our community centers with customer service, in-language member assistance, and event logistics. You will represent Verda in the community and collaborate with the Marketing Director to deliver culturally sensitive health programs for seniors and Medicare members.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Business, Marketing or Communications, or equivalent experience.
• 1–2 years of hands on professional experience with event or activity planning & coordination.
• Minimum of one (1) year of customer service experience.
• Bilingual in English and a second language required, preferably in Chinese, Vietnamese or Spanish.
• Experience working with an ethnically diverse population.
• Experience working at a health plan, healthcare, non-profit organizations, or senior community preferred.
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience in marketing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service for the Community Center or office.
• Provide in-language support for members regarding their benefits and accessing care.
• Act as a Medicare Advisor with in-language support to community members with questions about their Medicare options.
• Schedule and coordinate health events held at the community centers. This includes logistic and planning efforts.
• Responsible for communicating and coordinating general building repairs with Facilities Manager/Department.
• Maintain a proper inventory of equipment, center supplies and promotional/marketing items.
• Track and monitor traffic flow and utilization of services.
• Perform routine inspections to ensure equipment is working properly for quality assurance purposes.
• Responsible for managing the use of space to host meetings and programs while ensuring safety and cleanliness.
• Identify and develop programs and activities that bring value and interest to the center by working closely with the community, Field Engagement and Sales team.
• Other duties as assigned.

Position Overview The Event Coordinator will be based at the Verda Health Plan of Arizona Community Centers or office and will provide customer service to Verda Health Plan of Arizona members and seniors in the community. • Hours of operations: 9am 56d 6pm
• Standard business hours Monday to Friday/weekends as needed
