Job summary

Mariner Finance is seeking a Collections Specialist to support branch locations in late-stage collections on open and charged-off accounts. You will play an integral role in achieving company goals through daily outbound call efforts.

Responsibilities include contacting delinquent debtors, negotiating terms, documenting activities, coordinating with third parties, and ensuring compliance with laws. A high school diploma and experience in collections are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of one (1) year of collections or dialer experience in consumer lending.
• Knowledge of consumer finance, bankruptcy, repossession and related laws.

Responsibilities

• Contact delinquent debtors to negotiate terms and resolve delinquencies.
• Maintain professional call quality and customer interactions.
• Document collection activities accurately per policies.
• Coordinate with third-party collection providers as needed.
• Comply with applicable federal, state, and local debt collection laws.
