Mariner Finance is seeking a full-time collector to support late-stage collections for open and charged-off accounts. You will contact delinquent debtors, negotiate terms, and document activities to drive resolutions while maintaining professionalism and compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year experience in collections or dialer use.
• Knowledge of consumer finance, bankruptcy, repossession, and related laws.
• Customer-focused, able to negotiate and problem-solve.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to handle confidential information.
• Multitask, stay organized, and prioritize tasks.

Responsibilities

• Make contact with delinquent debtors to negotiate terms.
• Maintain professionalism to meet call quality standards.
• Document all collection activities in the system.
• Coordinate collections with third-party providers.
• Adhere to debt collection laws and company policies.
• Follow policy updates and adapt to changes.
• Support additional duties as market needs require.
