Spring Oaks Capital LLC is seeking a Bilingual Collections Representative in Chesapeake, VA. The role focuses on handling inbound and outbound phone calls to collect overdue payments and negotiate workable repayment plans.

High emphasis on empathy, rapport, and compliance with FDCPA and company policies. Applicants must be able to work 40 hours per week in person; there are scheduled hours with some evenings.

Competenze

Bilingual Collections Representative

Pay: $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Work Location: In person - Chesapeake, VA 23320

This position is responsible for facilitating customer interactions through multiple communication channels, but predominantly inbound and outbound phone calls. The goal of the customer contact is to resolve unsecured obligations by collecting overdue payments. Using excellent communication skills, the associate establishes rapport and builds trust with customers and third parties, enabling them to establish, negotiate, and maintain repayment plans.

Applicants must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation unless doing so would cause undue hardship.

*Schedule: M - F: 8am-5pm (or 9am-6pm on Friday) 3 nights, 10am-7pm 2 nights

*Eligible to earn MONTHLY BONUSES based on performance

Responsibilities:

• Establish rapport with customers by building trust, showing empathy, and creating meaningful connections.
• Create and maintain a positive and professional customer experience that results in negotiated payment plans or suitable arrangements based on the customers financial situation.
• Achieve monthly performance goals, to include quality assurance and compliance expectations.
• Handle all customer inquiries (disputes, complaints, etc.) with care and prompt resolution.
• Update customer information, payment records, and any relevant notes in LiveVox and Interprose.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures, as well as Federal and State laws (FDCPA, etc.)
• Attendance is an essential function of the job.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Skills/Abilities:

• Bilingual in English and Spanish (Proficient in both), required
• Comfortable working in an open floor plan call center setting.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, paired with active listening.
• Ability to remain calm and effective in challenging situations.
• Multi-tasker with strong attention to detail.

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Previous collections, customer service or sales experience, are preferred.
• Understanding of collections/legal requirements/recovery activities, is a plus.
• Experience using a computer, mouse, keyboard, and headset.
• Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite; Outlook.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position for prolonged periods of time, working on a computer in an office environment.
• Ability to use a computer, keyboard, and mouse with repetitive hand and wrist movements.
