Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Negotiate and arrange payment plans with borrowers for defaulted accounts.
• Update borrowers’ demographic and financial information on calls.
• Listen and inquire to gather information for resolving balances.
• Provide clear, professional communication with borrowers and attorneys.
• Conduct skip trace work to locate or verify borrower contact.
• Maintain accurate records of actions on accounts.
• Follow federal/state regulations and company policies.

Job Description

The Customer Service Representative – Collections (CSR) works cooperatively with borrowers to establish repayment arrangements and resolving defaulted accounts in accordance with all applicable Federal and State laws and company policies. The CSR will be expected to provide exceptional customer service while adhering to quality expectations for inbound and outbound customer interactions.

Qualification Requirements

• Education Requirement: HS/GED diploma
• Related Experience: Minimum of 1 year of collections or related experience
• Computer Equipment and Software Requirements: Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Internet software.

Essential Functions

• Working with borrowers via inbound and outbound calls to negotiate and arrange payment plans for defaulted accounts
• Update borrowers’ demographic and financial information on each call
• Actively listen and inquire from borrowers to gather information to assist in resolving the outstanding balance of the account in a positive and productive manner
• Provide clear, concise, and professional communication with all borrowers and attorneys
• Conduct skip trace work to locate and/or verify borrower contact as necessary
• Maintain accurate and thorough records regarding actions taken on accounts
• Follow guidelines set forth in federal, state or other governing body in addition to all guidelines set forth by other governing agencies
• Follow up on accounts to ensure activities and payment arrangements are maintained
• Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures, and instructions to perform any other job-related duties requested by any person authorized to give instructions or assignments

• Various work shifts available including early morning and evenings. Required to work every other Saturday 8-noon.
• Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol test.
• Must be able to pass acriminal background check.
