Job summary

Trinity Health is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant for Holy Cross Health Center in Silver Spring, MD. The role is part-time with a 3-day workweek, 8-hour shifts, no weekends, no evenings.

Expect responsibilities in patient prep, vitals, labs, and coordination with departments, with a focus on accurate documentation in the EHR and support for physicians. Prior CMA experience in a physician's office is preferred.

Qualifications

• Certification as Medical Assistant from recognized organizations (AAMA, AMT, NCCT, AMCA, NHA, NAHP, or NPCE).
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1+ year of CMA experience in a physician's office preferred.

Responsibilities

• Show patients to exam room, interview patients, measure vital signs and document in Electronic Health Record.
• Accurately assess patient symptoms and physical condition and record data in the medical record.
• Take labs, prepare for pick up and coordinate with departments per protocol.
• Set up exam room and prepare patients for examinations and procedures.
• Assist with procedures and examinations per physician/healthcare provider preference.
• Assist with front office operations including reception, medical records, scheduling and billing.

Education

Medical Assistant Certification (AAMA/AMT/NCCT/AMCA/NHA/NAHP/NPCE)
