Job summary

Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to support patient care on a day shift. You will greet patients, take vital signs, prepare equipment, and assist providers with procedures and vaccines.

A CMA or RMA certification is required, with likely 2 years of MA experience preferred. You'll need a high school diploma and a current BLS, plus a Medication Aide certification if applicable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CMA or RMA certification required.
• Medication Aide certification required if applicable.
• BLS certification within 3 months of hire.
• Mandatory Reporter abuse training within 3 months of hire.
• Valid driver’s license and transportation to multiple worksites.
• Ability to work with a variety of individuals; flexible and adaptable.

Responsibilities

• Perform general patient care following standards and procedures.
• Greet and prepare patients for the health care provider.
• Record vital signs: BP, temp, pulse, respiration, height, weight, allergies, meds, presenting problem.
• May draw blood and prepare specimens for analysis.
• Administer medications and vaccines per orders by provider.
• May perform routine tests, e.g., EKGs.
• Schedule diagnostics and follow up on test completion.
• Communicate test results and plan of care to patients.
