Job summary

ABCD delivers its programs and services through a network of neighborhood sites located throughout Boston and Malden. As a Client Advocate, you will handle direct case management services to clients currently at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Line who live in Boston, Malden, Medford, and Everett at a neighborhood site.

Responsibilities include maintaining case management files, conducting intake, organizing workshops, assisting with job applications, and connecting clients to EITC tax

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent; up to one year of experience in case management or related office support.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel required.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work sensitively with diverse populations.
• Russian language proficiency is required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain case management files and provide supportive services and referrals.
• Conduct intake and assist clients in setting educational and occupational goals.
• Develop relationships with public and private sector organizations to expand placement efforts.
• Identify needed support services and refer clients to referred programs.
• Conduct workshops for diverse community populations.
• Assist clients in completing job applications and resumes.
• Follow up with agencies and employers about opportunities.
• Provide services for EITC tax preparation, food pantry, fuel assistance, SummerWorks, and Virtual Gateway services.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
