Job summary

WRISTCHECK's New York Tribeca showroom seeks a driven bilingual watch specialist to bridge clients, brand, and operations. You'll guide clients through our collection, educate them on mechanics, provide seamless pre- and post-sale support, and build lasting relationships in-store and online.

You’ll work in a high-touch, luxury environment with uncapped commission, private viewings, and events, contributing to shaping our omnichannel experience and growth in the US market.

Qualifications

• Fluent English and Mandarin (spoken and written) to serve clients in-store and online.
• Experience in watch retail, trading, or collecting preferred.
• Comfortable in a startup environment with evolving scope.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and engage clients in preferred language, understanding inquiries and preferences to create a luxurious experience.
• Arrange private viewings, source pieces, facilitate negotiations, and coordinate delivery details.

About the Role:

Our New York Tribeca showroom is looking for a driven, culturally fluent individual who bridges clients, brand, and operations — someone who is a polished, knowledgeable, and bilingual watch specialist and understands the power of relationship-building and branding. This role blends high-touch sales expertise with white-glove concierge service. You will be based in our offline showroom/retail store or engage with international clients online, delivering a best-in-class omnichannel shopping experience and elevating our brand and service at every touchpoint. You will guide clients through our collection, educate them on watch mechanics and heritage, provide seamless pre- and post-sale support, and build long-term relationships throughout their collecting journey.

Key Responsibilities

Client Experience & Development

• Welcome and engage clients in their preferred language (English/Mandarin), understand client inquiries, preferences, lifestyle, watch knowledge, and create a personalized, luxurious experience
• Arrange private viewings, source requested pieces, facilitate negotiations, and coordinate pick-up or delivery details
• Provide clarity on processes, policies, and other watch-buying/selling related questions
• Clearly and compellingly present technical and aesthetic features - movement types, materials, dial design, strap options
• Own the full sales cycle from first conversation to final delivery — including packaging, shipping, and ensuring every order reaches the client the way it left our hands
• Achieve individual and team sales targets through proactive outreach, partnerships, and client development
• Increase customer lifetime value by building long-term relationships with top clients through strategic, proactive re-engagement
• Work with brand and marketing teams to plan events and seasonal gifting for your clients on a regular basis
• Own our Chinese-language client communication and social media channels, serving as the primary voice for our Mandarin-speaking audience online and in-store
• Collaborate on store events, launch campaigns, and clientele initiatives
• Stay current on market prices, trends, and industry news — your expertise is part of what clients are buying

What you’ll bring:

• Fluent and excellent interpersonal skills in both English and Mandarin Chinese (written and spoken) to serve clients in-store and through online channels
• Experience in the watch industry - retail, trading, or collecting, ideally in a similar role in retail or an auction house
• Comfortable in a startup environment with a broad, evolving scope
• Availability for occasional evenings and off-site events
• A high level of professionalism and excellent customer service. You enjoy connecting with people from all walks of life and have a natural ability to build rapport with entrepreneurs, executives, and professionals from all industries
• A watch enthusiast through and through who loves sharing their passion with others
• Creative thinker, always finding new ways to push the bar and solve problems
• You have a strong network in NYC and are well-connected with clients and sellers alike
• Proficient in CRM software and data analysis tools
• Entrepreneurial self-starter. Fast-paced environments give you energy!
