Job summary

Orange County Public Schools seeks a bilingual staff member to provide classroom and school-wide translation and interpretation services. You will support teachers, staff, and students by translating assignments, communications, and materials to aid understanding for English learners.

Under supervision, you will assist with learning activities, monitor behavior, and help prepare instructional resources. A high school diploma or GED is required, with additional language training preferred.

Qualifications

• Bilingual English and at least one target language (e.g., Spanish, French, Creole).
• High school diploma or GED required; relevant training preferred.
• Experience or training in educational support and translation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide bilingual communication support to teachers, staff and students.
• Interpret and translate classroom assignments and communications.
• Monitor student behavior and assist in classroom activities.
• Assist in preparing instructional materials and learning tools.
• Keep records and assist with attendance and data entry as required.
