Job summary

The YWCA Rock County in Janesville, WI seeks a Child & Family Advocate to coordinate case management and implement child and family programming for Spanish-speaking and non-Spanish-speaking clients. You will work under the Crisis Services and Empowerment program to support survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault and human trafficking.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or commensurate experience.
• Proficiency in Spanish and knowledge of child development.
• Experience with case management, group facilitation, and working with diverse populations.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate trauma-informed care.

Responsibilities

• Crisis Intervention and culturally sensitive case management for survivors.
• Intake screenings with children/youth and referrals for parents.
• Develop safety plans for minors and provide youth/parent support and resources.
• Facilitate child and youth groups addressing safety, conflict resolution, and parenting.
• Collaborate with adults on parenting concerns and support community youth services.
