Job summary

Rock Walworth Comprehesive Family Services, Inc. is seeking a Bilingual Family Service Coordinator to support Head Start families in Rock and Walworth County, WI.

The role pairs Spanish-speaking families with resources addressing health, housing, food security, employment, and wellbeing, serving as the classroom-family liaison for access to services. The coordinator builds Family Partnership Agreements, connects families to community resources, and collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in social work, human services, family services, counseling, early childhood education, or a related field.
• Full bilingual fluency in spoken and written Spanish and English.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally for home visits and family activities.
• Ability to pass a background check and licensing checks for working with children and families.
• Familiarity with the local service area and community partner organizations.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
• Experience using data systems such as ChildPlus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct family needs assessments at enrollment and ongoing basis across health, nutrition, housing, mental health, economic stability, and other areas.
• Support transitions into school districts and other early education settings by providing resources and coordination.
• Coordinate with Early Head Start Home Visitors to assess needs and connect families to services.
• Develop and monitor individualized Family Partnership Agreements.
• Assist ERSEA processes in accordance with Head Start Standards.
• Serve as primary translator/interpreter for Spanish-speaking families during visits and events.
• Translate program materials into Spanish to ensure access to information.
• Provide case management and referrals to housing, food, healthcare, and employment resources.
• Conduct home visits to build relationships and support family engagement.
• Facilitate family participation in governance (Policy Council, parent committees).
• Support transitions from Early Head Start to Head Start and to kindergarten.
• Maintain confidential family records in ChildPlus and PIR reporting.
