Job summary

Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic, Inc. seeks a Certified Medical Assistant to join Sunnyside Immediate Care in Sunnyside, WA. This 1.0 FTE role involves floating to other clinics as needed to support our care teams.

You will maintain patient records, prepare for visits, assist providers, and help with labs and referrals. Spanish-speaking skills are highly valued; CPR is required within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Graduation from an accredited medical assisting program with at least 720 hours of training and 160 hours externship.
• One year CMA experience preferred.
• CPR certification required within 90 days of hire.
• WA State Medical Assistant Certification required and current.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update patient records including vital signs and immunizations.
• Prepare for patient visits; coordinate labs, referrals, and reports.
• Collaborate with Providers to ensure efficient schedules and continuity of care.
• Prepare exam rooms and maintain cleanliness and sterility of equipment.
• Explain procedures and provide patient education when needed.
• Assist physicians during exams, procedures, and minor surgeries.
• Collect and process laboratory specimens; document results in EMR.
• Administer medications as directed by a physician.
