Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Graduation from an accredited CMA training program with 720 hours including 160 hours externship.
• Minimum 1 year CMA experience preferred.
• CPR certification within 90 days of hire.
• WA CMA certification or interim certification required.
• Spanish-speaking skills highly required (ALTA score 10).
• Bilingual differential compensation available with ALTA 10.

Responsibilities

• Maintain patient medical records, immunization history, vital signs, and treatments.
• Prepare for patient visits and coordinate labs, referrals, and reports.
• Collaborate with Providers to optimize schedules and care continuity.
• Prepare exam rooms with supplies and sterilized equipment.
• Explain medical procedures and provide patient education as needed.
• Respond to patient questions in person or via email; escalate outside scope inquiries.
• Assist physicians during examinations and procedures.
• Collect and process laboratory specimens and follow up on results.
• Administer medications as directed by a physician.
• Ensure compliance with Joint Commission and HRSA requirements.
