Job summary

Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic is seeking a Part-Time Certified Medical Assistant for the Toppenish Medical-Dental Clinic in Toppenish, WA. The role covers 8 hours per week and uses the Epic EMR system to document patient encounters, visits, and treatments.

The candidate will coordinate patient interactions, maintain medical records, and support Providers during exams and procedures. Bilingual English/Spanish skills are valued, with CPR training required within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of a medical assisting program with 720 hours including clinical externship.
• One year CMA experience preferred.
• CPR certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily patient interactions including warm handoffs and visits.
• Maintain and update patient records and immunization history.
• Prepare for patient visits: review labs, referrals, and pre-visit reports.
• Assist providers during examinations, procedures, and minor surgeries.
• Prepare and maintain exam rooms, supplies, and sterilization.
• Educate patients within scope and explain medications and possible reactions.
• Document data in EMR and follow up on test results.
