Job summary

Goddard Riverside Community Center's Manhattanville Resource Center in West Harlem seeks a Case Manager to engage with low-income residents, screen for government benefits, and enroll eligible individuals in entitlements.

In this role you will conduct screenings, make referrals to housing, legal clinics, and financial counseling, and help clients navigate services while maintaining detailed case notes and collaborating with partners across the community.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bilingual English/Spanish required.
• Experience serving low-income populations preferred.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct benefit screenings for low-income individuals and families.
• Assist clients apply for benefits from local, state and federal agencies.
• Interview clients to assess social service needs and make referrals, including to housing, legal, financial counseling, and other resources.
• Advocate for and liaise between clients and community organizations and/or government agencies.
• Assist with housing applications and refer to the appropriate agencies.
• Maintain detailed case notes and track outcomes for services rendered.
