Job summary

BoundlessCare.org is seeking a compassionate caregiver to travel to clients' homes in the San Francisco area. You will assist with bathing, dressing, medication reminders, meal prep, light housekeeping, and provide companionship.

The role involves transporting clients to appointments, support in a variety of environments, and completing training with a standardized exam. A high school diploma and 1+ year elderly care experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum one-year experience working with the elderly or frail population.
• Flexible to work in multiple environments including home or center.
• Attend training and pass a standardized exam.
• Knowledgeable in basic emergency and safety techniques.
• Must be in good physical condition and able to lift/move weights within ability.

We are looking for an experienced and compassionate Caregiver to provide excellent care to our clients. You will travel to the client’s home to provide personalized care.

Job duties include helping them to bathe, go to the bathroom, prepare and eat meals, get dressed, light housekeeping, and provide general companionship. For some clients, you will also transport them to appointments and remind them to take medications.

Caregiver/CNA Requirements and Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum one-year experience working with the elderly or frail population required. No certification is required.
• Flexible to work in multiple environments including home or center.
• Attend training and pass a standardized exam.
• Knowledgeable in basic emergency and safety techniques.
• Be in good physical condition. Ability to stoop, reach, stand, walk, push, pull, lift, grasp, talk, hear, and repeat motions of the wrist and hands. Must have visual acuity. Must be able to lift/move weight that is within the individual physical ability and use appropriate lifting devices or request assistance when needed.
• Reliable transportation.

Caregiver/CNA Duties and Responsibilities:

• (Vietnamese/Mandarin/Spanish Preferred but not mandatory. CPR + First-aid Required).
• Work with a variety of clients, such as the physically disabled, cognitively impaired, chronically ill, and elderly.
• Cook, dress, bathe and assist clients in using the restroom.
• Picking up heavy objects and performing housekeeping tasks.
