Job summary

DARCARS of Frederick is seeking a Car Sales Representative to join our team. You will sell new and used vehicles, deliver excellent customer service, and help meet sales objectives. Engage with customers in person and virtually, collaborating with Sales Consultants, Sales Managers, Finance Managers, and the General Manager.

This is a non-supervisory, commission-based role. The role requires strong communication, a customer-service mindset, and comfort with video tools to assist customers.

Qualifications

• Strong communication with customers and colleagues
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred; additional languages a plus (Chinese)
• Committed to customer service
• Comfortable using video tools like Facetime to assist customers
• Must be able to speak, read and comprehend instructions and policy documents, and converse with customers
• Previous sales experience preferred but not required
• Must be able to stand, walk, and perform job functions; flexible evenings/weekends

Responsibilities

• Conducts business in a professional and ethical manner
• Greets customers and listens to their needs
• Describes vehicle features in person or virtually
• Follows test drive procedures and documents properly
• Suggests optional equipment and warranties for purchase
• Quotes sales price accurately
• Works with finance to obtain financing as needed
• Completes all necessary paperwork
• Arranges delivery and registration of the vehicle
• Addresses customer concerns and ensures satisfaction
• Maintains knowledge of brands, products, pricing and options
• Performs effective vehicle demonstrations on a planned route
• Develops and maintains prospect and customer follow-up system
• Participates in brand and DARCARS training
• Uses online digital retailing tools
• May use video tools to assist customers virtually
• Develops personal income goals with GM and a strategy to meet them
• Complies with DARCARS policies and procedures
• Other duties as assigned
