Job summary

Urban Health Plan is seeking a Call Center Associate I for a fully remote role with occasional in-person training in the Bronx, NY. The position requires bilingual English/Spanish, a high school diploma, and exceptional customer service skills. Training is provided.

You will handle high-volume calls, schedule appointments, verify insurance, and maintain patient information while upholding HIPAA standards. The schedule is Monday–Friday 10:00 am–7:00 pm with rotating Saturdays.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Answers high-volume calls, schedules medical appointments, and relays messages.
• Responds to and resolves patient requests/concerns.
• Refers clinical questions to medical providers.
• Ensures confidentiality per HIPAA/PHI guidelines.
• Updates patient demographic information.
• Confirms insurance when necessary.
• Completes rescheduling, cancellations, and verifications.
• Exhibits WE CARE performance standards.
