Job summary

Urban Health Plan, Inc. is seeking a Call Center Associate I to join our Bronx-based call center team to support operations across health centers. This remote position requires monthly onsite needs in the Bronx; applicants must reside locally to the NYC market.

A desk at home for dual monitors and secure hardware is required as company equipment will be provided. The role is entry level with training provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• This entry level role includes training.
• Bilingual Spanish/English required.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Computer proficiency is a must.
• Self-motivation and commitment to EXCELLENCE.

Responsibilities

• Answers high volume telephone calls, schedules medical appointments, and relays messages according to the organization communication standards.
• Responds to and resolves patient requests/concerns.
• Refs clinical questions to medical providers.
• Ensures confidentiality at all times in HIPAA/PHI compliance.
• Updates existing patient demographic information.
• Confirms insurance when necessary.
• Completes rescheduling, cancelling, and verification of patient appointments.
• Exhibits WE CARE performance standards.
