Job summary

State of Florida is seeking a Call Center Services Representative I for OPS in Largo and Tampa, FL. This temporary, full-time role (40 hours per week) runs 8:00am–5:00pm EST, Monday–Friday. The position involves supporting government‑assistance eligibility through phone inquiries and data entry into the eligibility system, with daily office work.

Preference for bilingual Spanish/English or Creole/English; U.S. citizen or eligible, and Selective Service registration if male.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in customer-service or related fields.
• Ability to attend an 8–12 week mandatory paid training course.
• Preference for bilingual Spanish/English or Creole/English.
• U.S. citizen or lawfully authorized alien worker.
• Selective Service registration for males born on/after Oct 1, 1962.

Responsibilities

• Answer general inquiry eligibility questions related to program requirements, processing, case status, and benefits.
• Process eligibility-related work activities within designated timeframes.
• Educate customers on My ACCESS account features, including setup and password resets.
• Resolve EBT ACCESS card issues.
• Conduct abbreviated interviews to collect and update required applicant information.
• Request additional information to establish or continue eligibility and document electronic case records.
• Assist customers with referrals to other agencies and community resources.
• Work during emergency situations or natural disasters when needed.
