Job summary

Mental Health Resources, Inc. is seeking a part-time Billing Clerk to support electronic claims submission and communications with managed care organizations in New Mexico. This non-exempt role offers up to 30 hours per week with an hourly rate of $17.81, requiring a high school diploma and at least six months of office experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Six months of office setting experience.
• Bilingual Spanish encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Applies all payments to clients’ accounts.
• Bills all invoices to contracted agencies.
• Verifies insurance eligibility of clients as needed.
• Maintains spreadsheet of unpaid claims.
• Notifies staff of notes when corrections are needed.
• Communicates with Billing Director and C-suite staff.
• Utilizes knowledge of contract rates and service codes.
• Uses spreadsheets for follow-up on billing issues.
• Maintains HIPAA and client confidentiality at all times.
