Optimus Health Care in Bridgeport, CT is seeking a Full Time Front Office Registrar to join our Behavioral Health team. This role works with Providers, Nurses and Clinical Support staff to ensure a smooth patient flow, verify demographics and insurance, collect co-pays and schedule tests and treatments.

The ideal candidate has at least five years’ healthcare experience, is bilingual (Spanish preferred and/or Portuguese or Haitian Creole), and is committed to privacy.

Qualifikationen

• At least five years’ experience, preferably in a health care setting.
• Bi-lingual required – Fluent in: Spanish (preferred) and/or Portuguese or Haitian Creole.
• Familiarity with EMR systems is helpful.
• Commitment to maintenance of patient privacy.
• Flexibility to work at other OHC sites as necessary.

• Conducts initial intake of patients
• Collects co-pays
• Assists with scheduling of tests & treatments
• Assists with administrative tasks as needed
• Greet customer with a smile and provide eye contact at all times
• Ensure customer retention by providing excellent customer service
• Create a comfortable atmosphere for our customers by addressing all questions and concerns
• Responsible for completing patient demographic, insurance financial information and ensure that patients are processed in a timely, accurate and complete manner.
• Responsible and accountable for verification of insurances to ensure billing of services.
