Job summary

Optimus Health Care Inc. in Bridgeport, CT seeks a Full Time Medical Assistant/Front Office Registrar to join our patient-centered team. The role blends clinical support with front-office responsibilities, requires bilingual English-Spanish, and CPR certification.

You will verify demographics and insurance, schedule appointments, take vitals, assist clinicians, manage EMR (Epic), and coordinate language interpretation as needed. Externship experience and certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited Medical Assistant Program.
• Medical Assistant Certification from AAMA or in process; CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Verify demographic and insurance information to ensure prompt payment of services.
• Monitor provider schedules to maintain productivity and timely scheduling of patient visits; Administer health questionnaires, take patient history and vitals.
• Prepare exam rooms and assist with tests, treatments, and basic lab procedures.
• Act as chaperone with clinicians during exams; manage in-basket messages; coordinate language interpretation when needed; handle front-office duties.
